Bengaluru March 02: Karnataka Govt to award prestigious ‘NAADOJA Prashasti‘ for veteran Journalist, RSS Ideologue Dr SR Ramaswamy. The award will be given by Hampi University of Karnataka. The Naadoja testocyp award will be conferred to Dr SR Ramaswamy on March 06, 2015 during the convocation ceremony of Hampi University.
Dr SR Ramaswamy serves as President of Rashtrotthana Parishat, a leading social organisation of Karnataka inspired by Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS). Since 1979, Dr SR Ramaswamy serving as Editor of Utthana, a popular Monthly published by Rashtrotthana Parishat since 4 decades.
Dr S.R.Ramaswamy has been active in field of literature and journalism for over four decades. He is the author of nearly 30 prominent books in Kannada and English, and of over 1,000 articles on literary, cultural, nationalist and developmental themes. He has for nearly two decades guided some major voluntary rural-development initiatives in Karnataka. He has been a staunch advocate of the Swadeshi Movement.

Sri S.R.Ramaswamy has for over twenty-five years been active in environmental campaigns. Among his major campaigns is a movement he carried on for restoration of people’s customary rights over community lands threatened by forestry policies. In addition to awareness building, field activity, and lobbying at administrative and legislative levels, he also led litigation for these causes in various courts including the Supreme Court.
Sri S.R.Ramaswamy has over the years effectively presented the people’s viewpoint in numerous environmental seminars at regional and national levels.
